Great victory on a great day with a wonderful prize: qualification for the Canarian Championships from the 23rd to the 26 of April in Fuerteventura. CBA cadets showed everything they are capable of and gave no chance to Gran Canaria last Friday evening at Pabellón de la Vega de San José in Las Palmas (48-76).

It was a terrific defensive game with some offense highlights both from downtown and from the paint. The first quarter was equal (13-13) and until minute 15 CBA could not get an advantage on the scoreboard (20-20). Then Diego Willis’ actions and all the players good shots and hooks made the Academy achieve a distance that was definite (24-38 at halftime).

From then onwards, Gran Canaria tried to have a comeback and was about to reduce the distance in less than 10 points, but CBA’s force and balanced plays eased its victory for a final 48-76.

The next step for CBA cadets is going to be on the 8th of April at Colegio Canterbury vs the local team at a time yet to be determined in the Grancanarian Finals. The second game would be played on the 10th at Pabellón de la Universidad de Las Palmas and a possible third one on the 12th at Colegio Canterbury again.

Then two weeks later, from the 23rd to the 26th of April, the Canarian Championships are going to be organized in Fuerteventura and CBA is going to have a place to try to qualify for the Spanish Championships in Andorra from the 24th to the 30th of May. Two tickets need an owner to qualify for the Spanish Championships!
