Castro reflects on how then Samuel Sosa was his coach (CBA operations chief) and Rob Orellana, also that the CBA arrival at his town brought increasing quality. His team qualified to the U16 Canary Championship in Arona (Tenerife), where they did an excellent job.

Due to his past at the Academy and the recommendation of David Álamo, coordinator of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria University physiotherapy faculty, it makes sense that Marcos Castro was the ideal aspirant to lead this area, where he has worked since September, “it is the ideal job, because it merges my profession and my passion”.

On the other hand, the CBA physiotherapist is also the tutor of some ULPGC students that gear for a career in this field. “They have to work 135 hours; normally they are around for 2 months with us”, Castro adds: “Now I have 5 students, between the morning and the afternoon shift, but at the beginning of the season I had six present”.
