The players of the Canarias Basketball Academy Diego Willis and Toño Álvarez have been officially invited to be part of the Senior Men’s Mexican national team preselection by coach Sergio Valdeolmillos.

In the letter, the Aztec coach summons them to “the concentration of training that will be carried out from July 14 to July 24 in a first stage”, as well as clarifying that, depending on their skills, may continue with the work sessions on the 25th.

On the other hand, he explains that this invitation corresponds to “a new work strategy, which will give young people the opportunity to demonstrate their talent”, while congratulating them for it, since “it will give them the possibility of having the privilege to represent your country”.

Willis and Álvarez have completed their training period at the CBA, where they have not stopped going to the different calls of their selection during the three years of stay in this high performance center located in Gran Canaria.

Without a doubt, the strict working method of the Academy and the possibility of disputing international tournaments and Spanish Championships have been key to maximize the talent and the performance of both.
