The Canarias Basketball Academy junior team is prepared to travel to Kaunas, Lithuania on January 10th to and play in the prestigious Adidas Next Generation Tournament, a tournament organized by the Euroleague which brings together the premier club teams in Europe at 4 different venues in Europe.
The tournament will take place at the Zalgiris Arena from the 12th to the 14th of January and the Canarias Basketball Academy find themselves in Group ‘B’ and will be matched up against CSKA Moscow, VEF Riga and hosts, Zalgiris Kaunas.
Rob Orellana`s men start with a vitial match up against CSKA Moscow at 9:00 am next Thursday. Only the top two teams in each group advance to the semi final so the opening game holds great importance to their progression.
Group ‘A’ consists of CFBB Paris, Fenerbahçe Ülker, Fraport Syliners and Lietuvos Ritas. The Canarias Basketball Academy is the only Spanish team to play this prestigious tournament in Kaunas and it will be the fourth time that the Canarian club have played the tournament organized by Europe`s premier competition.
