The team coached by Toni Ten is at the fouth position in the standings with 4 wins and 1 loss. In addition, in its last match-up Amics clearly beat Marin Peixegalego (72-52) as Robert Washburn added 26 ranking points (17 points and 11 rebounds).

CBA coach, Pepe Carrión, points out that “even in the preseason, Amics was one of the favourites. I am sure that they have a great chance of being promoted together with Cáceres and Alicante, and a newcomer as Azpeitia”.

Furthermore, the Sevillian affirms that “the rival has surprised me, both in stats and playing terms, even though what I envy most from Amics is its way of working on defense because they are very good 1 on 1 defenders, they press every passing lane and that is reflected as they are the first on field goals %, which means that they score many fastbreaks, many 1 on 0, as a consequence of that great defense”.

CBA Gran Canaria, for its part, is the 15th in the standings as has not won yet, although the first victory was very close in Cáceres (59-54). Berni Hernández was the outstanding player from the Canarian team after adding 18 ranking points (8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists).

Finally, the designated officials for the Saturday are Antonio Zamora and David Sánchez.
