Canarias Basketball Academy’s two U16 Mexican players Diego Willis and Luis Antonio Álvarez began the U16 FIBA Americas with a defeat vs the host Argentina (85-70) on Wednesday 10th of June.

In a game that was decided in the last quarter, 6’3 Guard Diego Willis got 13 points in 28 minutes and added 6-13 FG, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. For his part, 6’8 Forward Luis Antonio Álvarez played 12 minutes in which he gained 1 point and 4 rebounds.

Mexican national team’s following encounter is going to be this Thursday 11th at 6:15 pm (Argentinian time, + 5 in CET). Another loss would complicate their chance to qualify for the semifinals.
