Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) is going to be the city where the U18 Spanish Championships for men are going to be held from the 3rd to the 9th of May in which CBA White is going to take part as the 2015 Canarian Champion.


This competition is going to gather 32 squads from all the country with 8 groups of 4 teams each. Canarias Basketball Academy is in Group G and it is going to face the first of Catalonia (Joventut Badalona), the second of Castilla and León (Colegio Leonés) and the first of La Rioja (C.B. Clavijo).

Sergio Salesa’s team is going to travel on Saturday to Madrid to practice at 6 pm (local time) at Pabellón José Antonio Paraíso in Torrejón de Ardoz, gym where it is going to make its debut vs C.B. Clavijo on Sunday (at 4 pm, local time).

The rest of the games are going to be vs Colegio Leonés on Monday (at 4 pm Pabellón Jorge Garbajosa) and vs Joventut on Thrusday (at 8 am at Pabellón Javier Limones). The first two of each group are going to qualify for the 1/8 on Wednesday.

CBA’s team is composed by Jon Peña, Juan Alberto Esteves, Yixiong Wang, Souleymane Diakite, Serigne Ndiaye, Menno Dijkstra, Joshua Tomaic, Jordan Connors, Dimitrije Nikolic, Daniel Váquez, Álvaro Reyes and Alejandro González. Sergio Salesa, for his part, will be assisted by Chris Mayes, Carlos Velasco and Jorge Rodríguez.
