Fifteen players from the Canarias Basketball Academy will do the course “¡Comunícate! Español para hablantes de lengua inglesa” by Radio ECCA, thanks to a collaboration agreement between both entities, that has been signed this morning by the Radio ECCA general director, Lucas López, and CBA operating chief, Samuel Sosa.


In this matter, players from different countries such as Senegal, Holland, Angola, Czech Republic, Sudan and Slovakia, will have the chance, thanks to Radio Ecca system, to learn the language at the same time as they unwind during their stay in Gran Canaria, while they are immersed in its basketball program in this international high performance center.


Thus, the protagonist of this agreement has been interviewed in the program “Lo Nuestro”, presented by Juan Carlos Atta. In it, Sosa has explained what the CBA project is about, as López has detailed the agreement characteristics, congratulating the Academy for “taking into account people education as the sport development”.


Likewise, the coach Richard Petruska intervened, who brought his champion ring from NBA, of season 93-94 with Houston Rockets, and Álex Strating, who is one of the players enrolls in the Spanish course. He has highlighted that: “It is the only one we can study with, because for us it is impossible going to class every day”.
