At Pabellón Municipal de Pla Na Tesa Alberto García, Gabriel Torres, Juan Riera, Matthew Johnson and Alberto Ausina began the game in the local team whereas Pepe Carrión used  Berni Hernández, Roberto Guerra, Kaleb Wright, Aaron Geramipoor and Konstantin Kulikov.

The visiting crew knew that had to play hard from the beginning in Mallorca and except the first 4-2, the Canarias Basketball Academy first team always kept the leading role in the game. That is why it won the first three quarters (10-13; 15-23; 16-18) and only lost the last one (16-15).

CBA Gran Canaria got the win in the second period thanks to a 0-9 run in order to have a 11 point lead (25-36). Both the defensive rebound and the important men from the Balearic team were perfectly handled by the CBA players.

As the second half started, CBA gained a 21 point lead (46-67, minute 34) and the locals could only reduce the advantage right before the end of the encounter to lose 57-69.

Canarias Basketball Academy coach, Pepe Carrión, stated after the triumph that “the game has been controlled from the beginning. We went hard onto the court, got advantage and despite their 21 offensive rebounds I think that we prefered their long range shots instead of their low post moves and penetrations. We have done that well enough, we have been clever and we have not made many mistakes during the game”.

The next CBA Gran Canaria game, the twelfth in Adecco Plata, will be against CB Tarragona this Wednesday at 8 pm. at Centro Insular de Deportes. There will be free entrance.
